Search On For Attempted Robbery Suspect, Police Say

Police are searching for a suspect in a reported attempted robbery that so far hasn't yielded any results.

The incident took place around 6 p.m., Sunday, March 1 in the Jewett and Goldenrod Avenue area in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport's Office Emergency Of Management.

Bridgeport police searched the area and requested a K-9 officer from state police, but a suspect has not been located, Appleby said.

On Monday, March 2, Appleby said an investigation is underway and no additional information was available.
